Abukamau (Abu) Ali-Ibrahim is Founder and Principal at Intrepid Partners Consulting and Coaching, an organization and human systems consulting practice. As an organization consultant, he focuses on organization development and change; leadership coaching; and team and group coaching.
Abu has worked in various industry sectors. His experience includes labor relations, organization development, leadership development, and human resources management. Having previously been a member of the UAW and the Teamsters, Abu is comfortable working in union environments. He has a history of respectful and effective working relationships with the local leadership of the TWU, IAM, IBEW, and UNITE in labor-management relations.
Abu is an ICF certified coach at the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level. His coaching orientation is fundamentally about the client’s growth, development and personal liberation. Abu has a straightforward manner and pragmatic approach to partnering with clients. He’s a thought partner and confidant, and his values align with that which is just and equitable, client validating and life-affirming. Abu is committed to helping leaders discover and embrace their courageous core for the sake of creating more just, humane and effective organizations and human systems.
Abu has an M.S. in Organization Development from American University; an M.S. in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin—Madison; and a B.A. in Social Science from Michigan State University.
